One-dimensional electrophoresis

Applications: separation of proteins and fractionation of nucleic acids under denaturing and non-denaturing conditions.
Two-dimensional electrophoresis
The system comprises the Ettan IPGphor unit combined with independent strip holders. IEF separation protocols can be programmed, run and controlled from the Ettan IPGphor control panel or from a PC running the software.
Applications: realization of the first dimension in the case of 2-D electrophoresis. It allows fractionation based on the isoelectric point of proteins (isoelectric focusing or isoelectric focusing, IEF).
Eppendorf BioSpectrometer® basic UV/Vis spectrophotometer
Specially designed for using in the fields of molecular biology, biotechnology, biochemistry and cell biology. It allows measurement in a wavelength range from 200 nm to 830 nm and the use of glass and plastic cuvettes in a volume range from 1 µL to 3000 µL.
