Instrumentation for preparation

Extraction

Automatic system of extraction with pressurized solvents of mainly organic compounds from solid and semi-solid samples. It allows the preparation of samples in a fast and safe way thanks to its high degree of automation, being able to apply a simultaneous extraction procedure of up to 4 samples with a maximum volume of 120 mgs.

Applications: extraction of pollutants in food and environmental, biological stubs.

System which allows processing of 24 samples simultaneously , using the solid phase extraction technique.

Applications: extraction of phenolic compounds, aromatic compounds, organic and inorganic contaminants in food and environmental and biological stubs.

Portable instrument of sample disruption, designed to quickly and efficiently homogenize, grind or lyse biological and environmental samples. It is a mechanism installed on a rotary tool (Dremel®) that can reach between 600 and 4800 cycles per minute. It allows the simultaneous processing of 2 samples in standard 2 mL vials and has different types of lysis stubs depending on the sample to be treated.Applications: Allows complete lysis of any tissue or cell, allowing stable and reproducible extraction and isolation of RNA, protein, and DNA.

High performance dispersion device. It allows working in a wide range of speeds (3000-25000 rpm).

Applications: preparation and homogenization of samples.

– Branson model 5800. It has a degasser, timer and automatic shutdown mode. Tank dimensions 9.5 L.

– Branson model 3510. It has a degasser, timer and automatic shutdown mode. Tank dimensions 5.7 L.

Evaporation/Concentration

Automated system of solvent evaporation using a nitrogen stream. It allows simultaneous processing of up to 24 samples. The use of nitrogen minimizes oxidation of the sample due to its inert nature.

Applications: evaporation of solvents and concentration of samples.

 It is equipped with:

– Vacuum controller V805: for the regulation and indication of the vacuum conditions in the operating range from 0 mbar to atmospheric pressure.

– Vacuum system: for the evacuation of the rotary evaporator up to 10 mbar.

– Heating Bath B-490: heating bath that serves as a heat source for distillations.

Applications: distillation of solvents and evaporation of solvents.

Vacuum centrifugal concentration system, for which it has a vacuum system (Welch’s Laboratory-Vacuum-System). It has two types of rotors, being able to work with 1.5/2 mL and 50 mL tubes. Allows time and temperature control. Equipped with an external programmable temperature regulator with timer.

Applications: evaporation of solvents of different nature as well as concentration of samples.

Designed to evaporate, concentrate and purify, safely in a closed environment, both acidic and organic solutions. It has 12 positions for 125 mL containers. Solvent evaporation takes place by maintaining a constant, uniform and controlled temperature, slightly below the boiling point of the solvent. The process is carried out in a closed environment, eliminating external sources of contamination.

Applications: evaporation and concentration of a wide variety of solutions and acids (HNO3, HF, HCl, NH4OH, H2O2).

Centrífuges

Equipped with a 6-position angular rotor that allows the use of 15 and 50 mL tubes, and a maximum RPM of 9000 min-1.

Model for tubes between 0.5 and 2 mL in volume. It vombines high centrifugation speed with the possibility of mixing. The equipment allows you to vigorously rotate and shake any substance for a set time. It has 7 levels of centrifugation between 1000 and 7000 rpm and 6 levels of agitation.
